We try to purchase software(s) that would make our daily life easy and sometimes we think of over purchasing software(s) because we don't tend to use it daily or in months, in this case it would just drain money from your pocket and a pile to your system memory.
Let's say i want to send an email to one of my colleague or friend but do not want it to be accessible by the mail server or if any 3rd person sitting for a man in the middle attack. I would never prefer purchasing a software for same.
Another example would be that i want to keep the files camouflaged in my system so that only i know how to access it even if it is open to others or it comes in a public network like public WiFi or LAN connection.
