If you are from Maharashtra, you must have heard that Nagpur Metro is up and running. Today, we present to you a set of simple instructions to make your Nagpur Metro journey more comfortable.
Get to the ticket counter and buy tickets for your journey. It can either be a one way ticket or a two way ticket that means from the station where you get up to the station you get down and back. (A to B to A) Your ticket will have a QR code that you need to scan later on, make sure you don’t fold it.
Move ahead to the security counter where you will put up your luggage in the scanner and you will be frisked by security. At this point, you are supposed to raise your arms to the sides of your body to facilitate the frisking.
Move towards the turnstile, take out your ticket and scan it at the turnstile’s scanner. Once the ticket is scanned, the barrier will open, proceed through the turnstile.
Follow the instructions till you reach the platform. Platforms are equipped with digital screens to help you with the timings. At the platform, stay inside the yellow line at all times.
As the train arrives, wait for it to stop complete. The doors will open after a sound and green lights lighting up. The doors are wide, don’t worry about missing the train, keep a calm attitude at all times.
Once you are inside the Metro, first move away from the doors and let your fellow passengers move in. As your destination station approaches, audio announcements in Hindi, Marathi and English will be made.
Upon arrival at your destination station, wait for the announcements about opening of doors. Again maintain calm attitude, get off and move away from the doors to allow fellow passengers to get off.
Again approach towards the turnstile, scan your ticket and move out of the station. In all these steps, make sure you do not litter anywhere. Keep the city and the Metro clean.
