We've heard of zoom app quite frequently after the lock-down was announced in India and several other countries. For a small intro "Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems" as per the zoom website, but this reliability went for toss on March 31, 2020.
It sounds very shocking when a world class app provider ends up to a result something like this. But did you know that due to this vulnerability it allowed hackers to secretly record your zoom sessions(which might include confidential meetings / highly confidential meetings, etc) and just for an FYI these recordings are also sold on Dark Web. A company taking certain amount of money specially from corporate(s), ends up with such a vulnerability.
However zoom released a patch / update for the vulnerability which was disclosed, but still it keeps us under a question, that are we still safe? Well some might have the answer to this question and some might not. But yes, we have a lot of alternatives to this, check out below.
